10 Catchiest Music Videos From The 1980s

Catchy songs. They come on randomly on your car radio, you don’t skip them, and feel a little bit glad to be alive. Hallmark of the 80s. Not always good, but you can’t get them out of your head. Is it the riff, the hook, the harmonies- who knows.

The previous version of this page with 50 songs broke WordPress a bit, so I scythed it down a bit…

1. A-ha – Take On Me

2. Fleetwood Mac – Everywhere

3. Madonna – Like A Prayer

4. Mike Oldfield – Moonlight Shadow

5. Dexy’s Midnight Runners – Come On Eileen

6. Culture Club – Karma Chameleon

7. The Dream Academy- Life In A Northern Town

8. The Human League – Don’t You Want Me Baby

9. Phil Collins – You Can’t Hurry Love

10. The Proclaimers – A Letter From America

      1. You’re right! That was the Cure vid O was thinking of too. With the bunny suit. Smiths’ videos were never the best. But This Charming Man with the flowers kind of rates for sheer well, jeez, flowers and Morrissey!
